The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an Income Tax Officer, Jhalawar(Rajasthan) while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs. One Lakh from the complainant.
A case was registered U/s 7 of PC Act, 1988 against Income Tax Officer, Jhalawar on a complaint. It was alleged in the complaint that the Income Tax Officer demanded a bribe of Rs. One Lakh from the complainant for not imposing penalty due in the scrutiny of his income for the assessment year of 2014-15. CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red handed while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs. One Lakh from the complainant.
During the search conducted at the residential premises of accused, new currency of Rs.24 lakh(approx) was found. Further investigation is in progress.

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an Income Tax Officer, Pune for demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs. One lakh from the complainant.
A case was registered u/s 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 on a complaint against Income Tax Officer (ITO), Ward 2(2), Income Tax Office, Swargate, Pune. It was alleged that the ITO, demanded bribe of Rs. Two lakh from the complainant to pass favourable orders in connection with his Tax liability. CBI laid a trap and caught the ITO red handed while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs. One lakh from the complainant.
Searches have been conducted at the office & residential premises of the accused which led to recovery of incriminating documents relating to tax assessment of the complainant; Cash of Rs. 5,04,030/-(approx); jewellery i.e 4 Gold biscuits weighing total 350 grams (approx); 2 Flats in Pune and 4 & ½ acres land at Solapur; 09 Bank accounts and one bank locker (yet to be operated).
The arrested accused is being produced today before the Court of Special Judge, CBI Cases, Pune.

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an Income Tax Officer, Visakhapatnam for demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs. 30,000/- from the complainant.
A case was registered against Income Tax Officer, Ward – 5(1), M.V.P. Colony, Visakhapatnam. It was alleged that the complainant who gave his plot for development to a Builder was yet to receive his share of 12 flats. The accused demanded a bribe of Rs. 1,50,000/- for dropping further proceedings with reference to the notice issued to the complainant in respect of sale of immoveable property, which require payment of Capital Gains. When, the complainant was unable to arrange bribe, the ITO agreed to accept money in installments and directed him to pay the first installment of Rs. 30,000/- on 27.12.2016. CBI laid a trap and caught the ITO red handed while demanding & accepting the bribe of Rs. 30,000/- from the complainant. During the searches conducted at the office & residential premises of accused at Visakhapatnam, several incriminating documents including cash of Rs.2,03,370/-(approx), was recovered.
The arrested accused is being produced today before the Designated Court at Visakhapatnam.
