CBI ARRESTS AN INSPECTOR OF New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) IN A BRIBERY CASE

The Central Bureau of Investigation has today arrested an Inspector of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) for demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.5000/- from the complainant.
A case was registered on a complaint alleging therein that the Inspector of NDMC posted at Connaught Place, New Delhi was demanding a bribe of Rs.8000/- from the complainant(a street hawker) for allowing him to carry on his business in the area. CBI laid a trap and caught the Inspector while demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.5000/- from the complainant. Searches at the official premises of the accused are being conducted.
The accused will be produced tomorrow before the designated court at Patiala House, New Delhi.
